Exciting News!

Happy Monday!

I have exciting new to share--I am a member of Adela Rossol's new Challenge Team!!!

Adela is a frequent host of the weekly 3D Challenges at PCP and she has an on-line shop, Creations by AR. I have been a fan and user of Adela's templates for a long time, and am beyond thrilled to be joining her and the other six very talented crafters on the Challenge Team.

Challenges will be announced at Challenges by AR every third Thursday, with the first one being July 7. There will be so many exciting things going on to celebrate the launch of the new Challenge Blog. During the first week a random winner will be chosen each day to win a template of their choice. What do you need to do for a chance to win? It's simple...leave us a comment. Also, for every project entered in the first challenge, you will receive $1 gift certificate for Adela's shop.

The first challenge is going to be wild. That's all I'm saying for now. I hope to see you on the 7th!

btw, Adela and her design team will be having a blog hop tomorrow (starting at 9:00 AM EST) to celebrate the release of her new templates. For your chance to win a template, start the hopping and commenting at Adela's blog.

btw, last week I tried to change my blog to a three-column lay-out and messed everything up. After trying hopelessly to fix it for over an hour, I finally asked Wolfgang for help. He got it back to the two-column lay-out, but we still haven't been able to get my blog banner full-sized.

PCP 3D-118

Happy Sunday & Happy Father's Day!

This week's 3D Challenge at PCP is to create something sweet that reminds you of a special father.

I decided to make a 'Yankee' shirt chocolate bar holder. I didn't have any striped paper, so I created my own in Word. The 'buttons' are brads and the letters/number were cut with the Sizzix Lollipop dies.

Here is the front view:

And, the side view (two chocolate bars fit in the box):

Can you guess what's on the back???

Growing up we went to both Mets and Yankees games, but we are Yankees fans! Nowadays, you wouldn't catch me watching a Mets game (unless they are playing the Yankees!).

Derek Jeter was just a wee lad the last time my father got to see a Yankee game, but I know he would be a fan. What man, woman, or child doesn't love Derek Jeter?!?!??

Thanks for stopping by.

Flag Day Giveaway Winner!

Happy Saturday!

Thank you to everyone that stopped by my blog and left a comment during the Flag Day Hop and Giveaway!

I had asked which of my three In a Pinch projects was your favorite, and the Lighthouse came in with the most votes. Frankie and the Bride & Groom were tied. As much as I like Halloween and anything to do with the beach/water, I have to say that the Bride & Groom set is my favorite.

So, enough chit chat and on to the winner of the $5.00 gift certificate to MTME. chose #36 and that comment belongs to NanciLeeDesigns!

Congratulations Nanci Lee! I have already sent your gift certificate to the E-mail address you left in your comment.

Happy crafting!

Flag Day Blog Hop and Giveaway

Happy Tuesday & Happy Flag Day!

Welcome to the Flag Day Blog Hop (June 14 - June 17) and Giveaway. Thanks to Holly and the Dog for arranging this fun hop (with blog candy at each stop!). To start at the beginning please click below:

I am super excited to be participating in my first blog hop. For my project today, I have used the In a Pinch template from My Time Made Easy. Can you guess what it is?

Day view:

Night view:

Did I hear you say lighthouse? That's right! Montauk is one of my two favorite places and I tried to create a Montauk Point Lighthouse. The sailboat image is the new SU Sail Away (Summer Mini) single stamp. In case you can't tell from the photos, I popped the entire image and then popped just the sails on top of that.

You can see my two other In a Pinch projects HERE and HERE. Please leave me a comment letting me know which of my three In a Pinch projects you like best. As I love creating 3D projects, my giveaway today is a $5 gift certificate to MTME, so one lucky winner may choose a template of their choice. My giveaway is open to US and international visitors. Winner will be posted on Saturday, June 18.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!

Inkspirations4U Project #3 & #12

Happy Sunday!

What, you don't remember who I am?!?!? Sorry about being MIA for awhile, but I have been busy doing things with my mother, such as looking at cars. After nearly a month of visiting (again & again) nearly every make, my mother finally decided on a Buick Regal. Well, she got it Thursday morning and hates it. She even called the dealer Friday night and asked if she could have her old car back (Chevy Malibu). She had three Malibus in a row and really liked them. Why didn't she get another Malibu? GM no longer make them with adjustable foot pedals. Actually, no car seems to come with them anymore. Let's hope she gets used to the new car quickly!

OK, enough about cars. Let's move on to crafts.

First up is Project #3 from the current I4U Summer Edition:

This gift box is made from the Petal Cone die.

Here is the top view:

Supplies used: Regal Rose & Tempting Turquoise CS, Flowers for You DSP (retired), and Tempting Turquoise 1/4" ribbon (retired).

Next up is part two (I didn't get to part one yet!) of Project #12:

Supplies used: Old Olive, So Saffron, & Very Vanilla CS, Petals & Paisleys DSP (retired), So Saffron 1/4" ribbon (retired), Flower Embosslit (retired), and one stamp from the Silhouette Sentiments set.

No, I didn't stamp every sheet of the post-it note, just the top sheet.

Thanks for stopping by.
