IBS September Blog Hop - Holiday Theme

Happy Saturday!

This month's IBS Blog Hop is all about Holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc).  I went with Halloween and used the IBS free Halloween Banner download.

There is a lot of sponging and dimension to this banner (everything is adhered with pop dots!).  The free download includes the three different colored banners and a set of letters to spell-out Spooky.  I opted to only do three banners and I used the IBS Fancy Alphabet Stamp Set to spell-out BOO.

A close-up of each banner:

I stamped the witch twice, fussy cut her, added glittery tulle between the two layers and on the top layer, and put black pearls for a waistband.

I do not know the name of the above-used MFT stamp set.  I got it used and there was not a name on the case.  If anyone knows the name, please let me know what it is.

The skeleton was die-cut twice. The bottom left is blank as I am awaiting the arrival of the IBS Holiday Washi Tape stamp set, and will then complete it.

I will try to remember to post another picture of the banner once it is completed and hung.

Thanks for stopping by!

Friend Gifts

Happy Friday!

I hope everyone has enjoyed a crafty week.

Tuesday evening Diana and I went for a bite to eat and then to our Crop Night.  As it was the last time we will get together until next Summer, we had little gifts for each other.

Diana used the Creations by AR Crafter's Apron template and SU papers to make this cute gift:

The chocolate bar was bigger, but I had to immediately try it (white chocolate with raspberry--yummy!), and then I had to refrain from devouring the entire bar until I could take a picture.

I started using the non-stick scissors yesterday and they are awesome.  No more gooey scissors for Wolfgang to clean every week.

Here is what I made for Diana:

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Bo Bunny Paper, Crumb Cake and Versafine Vintage Sepia Ink, Memory Box Large Mannequin and SB Fancy Frame Tags Two Dies, Crochet Trim, IBS Flower, Pearls, Tulle, and CTMH Find Your Style Stamp Set.

LNS 232 - Bling it Up!

Happy Monday!

Welcome to the new LNS Challenge - Bling it Up!  During the next two weeks the LNS Design Team would like to see your cards, L/Os, and/or 3D projects using pearls and/or rhinestones.

I made an anniversary card for a friend that will be having a 25th celebration next month:

The rolled roses were made with the 1 3/4 Scallop Circle Punch.  I hand-cut a spiral through the punched piece, rolled it around tweezers, and secured with a glue dot.

Hop on over to the LNS Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team created.  We would love for you to Bling it Up! and link your newly created card, L/O, and/or 3D project.  If you haven't participated in an LNS challenge yet, the rules are listed in the challenge post.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Basic Black, Brushed Silver, Old Olive, and Shimmery White CS, Polka Dot Parade DSP, Black Ink, 1 3/4 Scallop Circle, Modern Label, Scallop Trim Border, and Word Window Punches, Secret Garden Framelits, Doily, Rhinestones, and Happy Hour and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Sets.

FM128 and IBS WHW #117 - Fall

Happy Saturday!

This week's Friday Mashup is a Fall/Harvest Food Theme and/or paper piecing (I went just with the Fall theme and didn't 'mash it up'), and the IBS WHW Tutorial is a Fall/Autumn Theme.

When I saw this adorable pumpkin that LeAnne created, I immediately purchased the MyScrapChick template so I could make one too.

And, a view of the top:

The flourishes on the leaves and sentiment on the tag were embossed in gold.  I lightly sponged all the edges of the pumpkin.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies used:  Bo Bunny Papers, Versafine Vintage Sepia Ink, Gold Embossing Powder, Twine, Flourishes Autumn Flourish and IBS Beautiful Iris Stamp Sets.

Creations by AR 'Let's Get Crafty' Blog Hop

Happy Thursday!

Welcome to the first stop of the Creations by AR 'Let's Get Crafty' Blog Hop.

There are six stops on today's hop.  Each of the Blog Hop participants will be showcasing a 'crafty' use for a Creations by AR template.  You will want to leave comments on all the blogs as one of us is the mystery blogger.  What that means is one commentor from the mystery blog will be chosen to win a template of their choice from Creations by AR

I chose the Dessert Cage for my first project:

A slightly turned view so you can see the side of the 'cage':

Dessert Cages aren't just for dessert!  I think we all like our crafty space to look nice (even if it is usually a tad messy!), and what is nicer than a few hand-crafted projects to hold our most used products?!?!?  I put Stickles and Glossy Accents on the top shelf and a few Embossing Powders on the lower shelf.  Your favorite markers would be a convenient idea for the top level and some embellies on the bottom level.

The top shelf can be accessed from both sides of the Dessert Cage, and the bottom shelf can be accessed from the front and back.

This is such an adorable project and quite large.  I thought this template would be difficult to assemble, but it was a breeze.  It came together in no time.  In fact, it was so easy I plan on making a Halloween version, so please stop by again.

For my second project, I used the Party Train:

To give you an idea of the size of the train cars, there are two containers of SU Buttons in the one car and three rolls of SU Seam Binding/Trim in the other car.  Embossing Powers, Stickles, and Stamp Cleaners are a few other ideas.  The top lifts off the Locomotive, so supplies can be stored there as well.

Adela's templates come in PDF and cut file formats. She also provides easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions with pictures. If you have not yet tried any of Adela's templates, now is the time to give one (or more) a try!  A new template was released this week and it is truly scrumptious - Simply Scrumptious Shop.  If you make a Creations by AR project, we would love for you to share it on the Creations by AR Group Page on PaperCraftPlanet

Following is the blog hop order:

Lisa Eisner (that's me!)
Diana Auberle
Raissa Spatola
Carmen Mitchell
Gigi Lorenc
Mary Roberson

Comments for the blog hop prize will close at midnight (EDT) on Sat., Sept. 21. The winner will be announced on Sun., Sept. 22, here on my blog and on the Creations by AR Facebook Page.  Speaking of the CbyAR FB Page, if you haven't already done so, you may want to 'Like' the page so you can be kept up-to-date on all the latest happenings.

I hope you liked my 'crafty' projects.  Please hop along and visit Diana next.  She is waiting to share her 'crafty' idea.  Don't forget to leave some love along the way. We enjoy your comments and you just may be the lucky winner of a Creations by AR template!

Happy hopping!
